James is the Principal dentist at 'Blueapple Dental & Implant Team'. He and his wife Sonya developed the concept of 'Blueapple' and opened the practice in 2005. He qualified from University of Dundee in 2001 and following periods in private practice in Gloucestershire and in Cheltenham General Hospital's busy Maxillofacial department, he returned to his home county of Fermanagh to open his own practice. James has always immersed himself in post-graduate education, gaining his Membership of the Fellowship of Dental Surgeons of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2004. He is an active educator in the area of dental implant surgery and restoration, leading the 'Blueapple Study Club' for the practice's referring practitioners and as a UK & Ireland speaker for the ITI (International Team for Implantology). It is James' enthusiastic approach to educating other dentists that has led to 'Blueapple's' recognition as one of only 5 practices in Ireland which has received ITI approval as a dental implant referral and education centre. In December 2007 James received the title of 'Best Young Dentist in the UK', as awarded by the dental publishing company FMC. James's special interests are dental implants and complex restorative dentistry. |
